2010 reminds me of 1984. It sounds like some futuristic SiFi movie. In 1984 I gave the year an extra meaning. Like that year was going to change my life in some really great way. Looking back it did. And I am feeling the same way about 2010. You see this year I am going to become a grandmother. In order to be the grand mother I want to be I will need to have a lot more stamina than I have right now. That is why this coming year I am determined to become as physically fit as this 55 year old woman can be. This goal is extremely important to me so instead of having a new years resolution I have a New Years Plan for success.
Here are six very simple guidelines I want to share with you
that I have used to help me plan and succeed.
1. Write the goal you want to achieve.
2. Write the reason you want to reach your goal.
3. Write the starting point of your goal. (where you are now)
4. Write the actions you will need to take to achieve your goal.
5. Write the support you will need to achieve your goal.
6. Write the date you plan to achieve your goal.
That's it.
Having a plan makes it much more likely that you will achieve your goal.
Wishing you all a Healthy, Successful and Prosperous New Year.
P.P.S. For those of you who would like to host a
hypnosis weight loss party check out my website.

Going Google
Three Sisters Laughing has been playing in the clouds experimenting with its collaborative qualities.
Here are some advantages we have experienced through using different Google applications to collaborate together.
Leveraging resources and online cloud computing can be a powerful strategy for a small business owner. Did I mention, we did it for free. The best part is that you can experiment and play with the technology for free. Even if this is not your cup of tea, getting familiar with this technology will give you an understanding of an important trend in the way the world is doing business.
Here are some advantages we have experienced through using different Google applications to collaborate together.
- We are working smarter not harder. We create a document that we share and can collaborate at the same time or when it is convenient. There is not multiple versions to collate and everyone sees the edit.
- We get to value are time though sharing a calendar. It keeps milestones and goals visible and clear to everyone.
- The work at home is no longer literally that. With access from any device that has internet access, we can securely sign into our accounts and work at the coffee shop, the park, whatever venue inspires us.
- We get to leverage the experience and technology of Google without having to have our own internet technology guru.

The Personal Downsize
Downsizing is not just for businesses anymore. I have taken on downsizing my life and footprint in the world to conserve my resources and maximize my ability to have choice.
I recently noticed that I really spend most of my time in just two rooms in my house beyond the kitchen and the bathroom. The majority of my house is just storage for a bunch of stuff. Most of that stuff, I have not touched for the past six months. I did the research and I can store my stuff for considerably less than the rent I am paying. Let's not get into the energy costs.
Now, I realize this may not be a solution for everyone. For me, the burden of having too much stuff to manage and store has taken time and resources away from the things that I am actively interested in and working on every day. Not to mention, the time I get to play and spend with my daughter.
My personal downsize has me get down to the brass tacks of what is important to me and then take action. I am trying to make my to do list filled with the to do's I want and value versus the "ugh" not again.
I am not sure where the long term will take me with this strategy. In the short term, my projects are picking up momentum and my time is starting to be partitioned in a manner that really works for me. I finally get to go to story time with my daughter on a weekly basis.
The bottom line of my personal downsize is I have stopped making excuses and get to really choose whether I want to do or not.

My Personal Key to Success, Working at Home
Knowing what you want or rather what you value most is one of the keys to creating a successful work at home business or relationship with your employer.
Having a sense of your priorities within the whole picture of your life gives you the opportunity to create balance or a personal sense of satisfaction. Working at home is much like motherhood. There are no real how to. There are multiple styles and lots of books, but ultimately success is finding what works for you.
Evaluating the big picture for yourself helps eliminate choices that may not be in alignment with what you value. When we make choices that we feel are out of integrity, they ultimately come back to haunt us or create a lot of drama in our lives. It is like having the goal in mind and working the steps backwards towards the goal.
In the book, Womenomics, Claire Shipman and Katty Kay bring home this idea that knowing what you want from your life is key to writing your own rules of success. The workplace can be transformed by women to become women friendly. However, if we do not recognize our value and our skills we get stuck with solutions that are a "favor." When in reality the efficiency of a work at home mom is something that most corporations and organizations could learn from.
There is no need for you to compromise what you value in order o work. More importantly, the more we take in consideration what we value, the better, more productive work is possible. And if you get a chance read the book and let me know what you think.
